This wont just kill off gambling sites you also need to log into steam on other websites for esea faceit etc.

Yes, it's fixed. It's been fixed since January. They changed some stuff, and people had to adapt to the new API.
If you haven't, then do so.
If you don't want to adapt to the changes, there is probably a USENET group you can join to discuss it.
