[SOLVED] HyperX Cloud 2 Mic not working

Hello, so when I first got my mic. It was working perfectly fine, a couple of months later. Out of no where it just stopped working. I checked if it was on mute, installed software and on and on. But nothing worked..

I checked to see if my mic was on full volume, but it was on 0.0 db. I tried to change it, but I couldn't and it locked onto 0.0db.

One thing that I did I find out, is when I was testing the mic on steam. I was watching a video, and the video audio was apparently coming from my mic; it started to echo and that was when I stopped testing it.

Straight after when I found out that my audio device was playbacking through my mic; I decided to check the playback device. I checked it, and clicked on a random video; and nothing came through it, even though I was hearing quite fine.

Somebody, please help me. I've spent 2 weeks straight trying to find a solution!!

I had the same problem, low mic volume, plus in windows control panel under sound under mic the mic volume was zero and could not be changed.

I followed this video and it explains how to get around the problem for PC users.
This worked for me.

It uses APO Equaliser and Peace GUI ( a skin for APO). Both are free apps.
As an aside, after setting this up i was able to adjust the mic volume in the control panel too.

Thanks mate, but I already solved the issue. My headset wasn't plugged into the controller properly.
