How to add a game to inventory?
I've seen people's inventories with games like terraria or something like that. I've always wanted to do this so I can show off what games I have for trade but I don't know how. Obviously I know you need to buy the game but do you buy it as a gift or something else.
Thanks
~Mitch

Yep, those games are gifts. You can't add games in your library to your inventory, nor can you display them on your profile, unless they're gifts.

You can't. Apparantly steam changed the gift process so you can't buy games and keep them in your inventory. I know it sucks.

You can get some by buying bundles on Steam. I got CS:GO by buying Valve Complete Bundle and Don't Starve Together, by buying Don't Starve MEGA PACK PLUS.

So is there any way now to get a game to your inventory? Do some people still have games in their inventory? Is it possible for someone who has a game in their inventory gift it to my inventory (not to my library)?

thanks

No longer possible to purchase a game and store it in the inventory.
Yes, some people still have games in their inventory. I have for example, although my privacy settings doesn't let others see them so they don't bother me with trade offers.
Yes, those can be traded and still be stored in the inventory.
