As the title states, the game Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force instantly crashes, with not message popup, no warning, just instant crash.

The fix works - and it even crashes again if you put it back ot the correct date, though changing the date to before July again allows it to run.

Verifying the files in the game properties;
clearing the download cache;
restarting steam;
restarting the computer;
uninstalling and reinstalling;
deleting the Steam appcache folder;

Game Prepares to Launch, then flashes a white screen for a second, then immediately crashes.
As the title states, the game Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force instantly crashes, with not message popup, no warning, just instant crash. It was working perfectly fine 2 days ago, and when I tried starting it again today, this happened. This is only happening with this single game.

I have tried:

Verifying the files in the game properties;
clearing the download cache;
restarting steam;
restarting the computer;
uninstalling and reinstalling;
deleting the Steam appcache folder;
deleting Steam's ClientRegistry.blob file;
turning off my antivirus;
scanning for malware;
lanunching the game from it's folder in steamapps common;
launching it as administrator; troubleshooting compatibility;
reinstalling the directx in the folder;
repairing vcredist 2012 vcredist_x64.exe;

The computer is a laptop - 64 bit

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3337U CPU @ 1.80GHz

RAM: 8.00 GB


I tried multiple other games and they all work, I have no idea what to do.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Same exact thing happened to me too! I was playing just a little over 24 hours ago and the game crashes immediately. Please let me know if you figure out what's going or if you find a solution. Thank you.

Hopefully it will either be patched, fix itself, or some other solution emerges - I've sent an email to the the support, so maybe they'll have a solution.

This thread is quite new, I didnt expect that. I have the same issue. I thought reinstalling the game would fix it but apparently not.

Wow, that actually worked... how does that even work... Thankyou for the solution; hopefully it either never happens again, or it gets a permanent fix

Wow that actually worked too. I remember other games being like this.. Maybe they forgot something in the coding so it can't work when given an input past a said date?
