buy movie or episode vs. rent
I understnnnd that by buying a video episode, series or movie all I'm really doing is removing the time limit for watching it. There is no way to download it to watch offline. Is this correct? Are there any limitations how many time it's watched?

As is written under the buy button, only streamable format; no offline watching.
STREAMING VIDEO
This content is only available in an online streaming format. More information about streaming videos can be found in the Streaming Videos on Steam FAQ.

If you rent the video, then there's a time limit (obviously). If you buy it, it will stick to your library (and no limitations on how many times you watch it.)

It depends if you are the type that watches the same thing over and over. I am, which is why I own over 200 dvd/blu ray

Thanks guys. Didn't see the buy button text. I guess I was hoping (expecting) an "offline mode" similar to games. And, not to fan the flames, but why couldn't there be an "offline mode"?

Here hoping that can be done someday.

For example, Viaplay does it successfully. It's with limited titles on Netflix.

Due to licensing for the titles, they are only available to stream by the companies that have that license.
