PS3 Controller Not Appearing in Device Manager but the 1234 lights keep blinking
I just got my PS3 Controller and after pluging it in my computer nothing happens...The Computer doesn't even play the USB plugged-in tune, indicating that it didn't detect my Controller yet for some reason the "1234" lights on my controllers keep blinking as if they are working or trying to find a connection.

I also couldn't find any forums that addressed this issue. I have tried everything from pluging and unplugging my controller to different USB ports, still no results. Tried using scpToolKit which couldn't even find my controller as well as using Better DS3 which also doesn't display anything in the "connected controllers" list.

I did manage to get my Xbox360 and Logitech Controllers to work flawlessly though, but for some reason I can't get this one to work. Is there anyway to fix this?

Thx, in advance

Hey, I'm having this same problem and I've been looking s**t up for hours upon hours to no avail, i's frustrating as all hell, needless to say. You didn't have to find a fix to this did you? Every other thread just assumes it will connect, but LITERALLY NOTHING has an answer to this exact issue. No display, nothing noted in Device Manager, no plug-in notification sound, not jack s**t.

I'm super frustrated over this issue and it seems nobody can F***ing help.

Make sure the cable is both Data and power. If it's just power it'll light up but obviously won't work wired because no data is transmitted.

Haven't used my DS3 since I got a DS4 but I did use SCPToolkit for years. Not sure if it still works ok but I still have bookmarks to it.

Thank you very much, how do I know it's Data and power? I mean all the cables which are being sold are named as "charging cables", so how do I find a data and power one? My problem is probably this, because the person who gave it to me said that it was just for charging.

I searched Amazon with using this phrase

usb to Mini usb Data and charge cable

Then filtered to 4 stars and up.
