Market Ban, but can i still accept trades?
Hey Guys,

so i bought me csgo on steam via paypal yesterday and now i've got a 30 days market ban.
My Question is, can i trade items to myself with another account, or can i also not accept trades?

You can still trade with friends, the 30 days market "ban" is unrelated to that.
The market restriction comes from you not having bought anything on Steam in at least a year (or buying for the first time) which then restricts you from using the market till you buy something again and then wait 30 days.
But beware that you will have a 15 day item hold when trading with other players (or yourself on your second account) if not all parties have the Mobile Authentificator installed on their Smartphone. Also needs to be installed for 7 days before item trade holds get removed.

If you dont have the Steam Mobile App installed and already running for at least 7 days, then all items you trade with other users will be hold by Steam for 15 days before getting delivered.
So you can trade but the items will only arrive after 15 days on the other account.
To prevent this trade hold all users involved in the trade need to have the Mobile App installed and already running for at least 7 days.
After that trades between users are instant.

Its just a security measurement. Say someone hacks your account, its to prevent them trading away all your stuff. With the Mobile App they would need to get hold of your phone in the first place and without they have to wait 15 days which gives you time to reclaim your account with Steam.
I highly recommend getting the Mobile App and setting up the Authentificator. After that you get a code to login to Steam on your phone each time.
Makes your account pretty much unhackable since they would need to get hold of your login info , your email AND your physical phone.
Which is highly unlikely. After setting it all up and having the initial waiting period you never have any holds again ,either on the market or in user trades.

Edit: BTW, without the mobile app you will also have 15 day holds on any item you want to sell on the market. Your listing will only appear 15 days after you make it.
So just get the app, its worth it.
