Best Online racing game?

Yo guys !!

I'm looking for some advice - I want to know what is the best/most populated online racing game at the moment? (On PC)

I do own Project Cars, which is very nice but most of the races I find is usually the same class, and the few that is other classes, there is like 6 people in that lobby.

I thought maybe Assetto Corsa? What else is there? I also own Forza Horizon 3, but that is not really that much fun for online side by side racing, I'm waiting for Forza Motorsport 7 :D !!

So what would you guys recommend? Should I stick to Project Cars? Try Assetto Corsa or is there anything else you guys would recommend?

PS - I would've tried iRacing but I don't want to pay monthly fee only for one game.

Assetto Corsa is a great game. In my experience, Project Cars is way more arcade (and just full of stupid people driving into you). Assetto Corsa got a minorating system (most servers) which is working great! The minorating keeps you from getting into lobbies with wreckers. And the most popular servers are populated most of the times (living in Europe).

I suggest you look into iRacing as well. Altough I think that's a way more expensive game?!?! (correct me if i'm wrong).

ps: Assetto Corsa has a lot of awesome mods as well
