How do you get terraria for steam if you have it on PC?
What I mean is, if you dont have Terraria for steam and downloaded it on your PC, can you download it for free? cause my friend has it and wants to play it via steam

You can ask in the Terraria forum and see what the answer is from the devs/pubs. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it, though.

I know you can add it to your library list but I don't know if you'll have steam support. Look at the very bottom of your library list

You guys will be able to play together fine if one person has a 'Steam' copy, and the other the 'GoG' or stand-alone version.
