Garry's Mod (Content File Locked) Please Help

When I try to do the required update for garry's mod, i get the content file locked error. I have tried everything on the other forums but have had no luck, I'd really appreciate any help.

I believe the problem is that the folder is set to read only, but when I uncheck the box and press ok it fills itself back in.
