Can I get a 64 bit Steam with wine. (NOT WINE BOTTLER)
I want to use the original wine to use the terminal to activate steam and try to install a 64 bit steam first can i get a 64 bit steam through wine and Xquartz, secondly if so can I get a step by step waklthrough please. I'm on MacOS trying to run Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, Thanks in advance.

why you need a 64bit steam?that game need a 64bit os not steam try to find a 64 bit windows os emulator for mac if there is any.

Bootcamp isn't emulation. It's a multi-boot system with a real non-OSX install.
Parallels is an example of emulation.

So install bootcamp, install Win10, and play all the games you want.


Oh, also CMS 2018 is Windows only.

Download installer for "wine staging" 2.14
Run the pkg and check the box for 64 bit support
Make a new prefix, you cannot convert an existing 32 bit prefix to 64 bit.
Install steam as you did before.

I am having trouble with wine bottler. I can't launch steam once it's downloaded.
