How to poll up taskbar while playing games?
How do I pull up taskbar while playing games? I want to be on google chrome while being in a pregame lobby, but at the same time hear the game, so I know when it starts. I know you can do this, because my game was like that before I uninstalled h1z1 to move it to another hardrive. Also it wont let me do it for any other game. But for some reason it doesn't pull up the taskbar anymore. Please dont say alt tab or windows key tab that just brings me to the dashboard. I want to be able to have the taskbar at the bottom. Also I dont want the taskbar to be stuck there when the game starts. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Alt + Enter to go into windowed mode. When the game starts press Alt + Enter again to go back into fullscreen mode.

Sorry I should of been more specific. I mean when im in a game I can press windows key and just the start menu comes up. The games still going in the backround but I can change music, go on obs or anything else for that matter from the start menu. Like I said I know this can be done because ive done it before. Also thanks for the reply :)!
That usually happens with borderless windowed mode, which looks identical to fullscreen but is not. If the game allows that setting you can consider using that instead.

Ight thanks for the help man. Wish I can find the setting I had on before I cant find anything online.
Right-click your game, select Properties, then Set Launch Options.

For Source games type in:

-windowed -noborder

For other games, try:

-popupwindow

Or

-borderless -resx=1920 -resy=1080

Change the numbers to be the resolution you have on your monitor.
That won't work on the majority of the games as those parameters aren't standartized. Go to game settings instead.

Already tried that already doesnt work unfortunately but thanks anyways!
I don't quite get why you don't just alttab out of the game.

Because I cant hear the game, also its instant. I just want access to my task bar thats it. I can be on google chrome watching a video and can see when the game starts from the bottom of the screen and I can switch to the game in a instant.
Ah, now I understand hat you mean. Then its indeed the borderless window mode, some games call that wrongly fullscreen while the real fullscreen mode is called the exclusive fullscreen mode.

If I may post a suggestion, get a second monitor. I have one and I run Teamspeak, Edge and the console of my dedicated server on that.
