PC Rebooting on Game Launch

Hello there, I am having an issue launching Far Cry 5. When the game starts sometime before reaching the main menu, my computer completely restarts without warning. The only fix has been to launch steam in offline mode. Doing that, I managed to play without issue. Any idea what it could be? I ran stress tests on the GPU and CPU, as well as turning off OC on both. Same result. Only launching steam offline seems to fix it. I am not having this issue with any other game.

Make sure that your system is allowing Steam to run online with all of the games it has. If your OS has recently updated - particularly Windows 10 is notorious for changing settings you THINK were correct. Whitelist through the firewall and virus scanner and make sure that Steam or particularly those games you're having trouble with, are not being 'live' scanned.

Make sure also, that for the same reason, W10 updates have been known to switch off the video card as your main gaming resource, and instead shunts to the chipset that may be available on the motherboard. If it does that there's a high chance of just NOTHING happening when you click a game, it will TRY but fail to boot.

If you try both of those things, restart your computer and Steam. If those do NOT work, please post your full system specs - found at the top of your steam library window, HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION. That'll help clear up whether the games are going to run at all normally, and other troubleshooting info for us to help.
