PC shuts off when using wired Xbox One controller.
I just recently started experiencing an issue where my PC immediately shuts off in these scenarios:

-I disconnect and reconnect my controller via USB.
-I enter Big Picture mode when the controller is on.
-Sometimes everything works fine for a while but then the PC shuts off in the middle of the game.

This doesn't really occur with anything else except when using Steam, which leads me to suspect the issue itself is related to it. But I can't exactly pinpoint what the issue could be, or how could I even resolve this.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If it shuts off immediately (not crashing with a kernel panic neither rebooting), you've got yourself faulty hardware. I'd go with a faulty mainboard as that's where you plug your XBox gamepad in.

You may try to switch the USB port. Another thing you could try is a self-powered USB hub in between to ease the load on the mainboard's USB port(s).
