How do i recover resetted cart items?
I lost items in my cart, i was holding on them to buy them later. A game looked really awesome but i don't remember its name. How can i view items that has been expelled out of my cart by the steam system?

I can't remember the title of the game. IT was a side-scroller, relatively recent, 4.99 instead of 20some, it's a girl, pixel game, and she interacts with a witch at some point in the previews. It's spook story themed. Looked like an awesome game but it's gone from my sight.

Can't, unfortunately.
It's better to use your wishlist to reference games you want to come back to later. They don't expire there.
Yeah i just did that. found momondora which is the game i was looking for, tho i had 2 other items in my list that i absolutely can't remember... A game that looked like resident evil in style...
Tho carts shouldn't expire.

Carts can be cookie based so if something causes the clients cookies to get cleared, there goes the cart.
Okay. Tho i've been a Waves audio customer. Their cart system is genuinely awesome. We can save items to buy for later, and the list of "saved for later" items is displayed below the cart. So it's easy to move items down and up from there.

And yeah, cookies. I wonder if the cart informations were written in the DB instead than in a cookie if it would make shopping experience better?

It's called a wishlist on steam, with add to wishlist buttons on each store page.
I use wishlist already. It's unefficient, it's a mess, it's packed with items i wishlisted, no sorting order.
Don't think that i make that suggestion out of empty knowledge of how Steam works. It works bad.
I need a save-for-later so i can put aside the games i want to buy quick but not today. Wishlist is just a mess.
For example, right then, i wanted to chose if i would buy metro exodus or not, so i would've put it on the save-for-later and proceed with the items i wanted to buy that day.
Next time i'll take a screenshot of my cart.
Not very practical but it's the only way not to get lost in the thousands of items i have wishlisted.

You can sort and filter by multiple criteria and search. You sure about that not empty knowledge? Also, wouldn't the same quickly apply to your cart too? A long list, saved for later?

Life isn't long enough to play thousands of games. Prune.

I won't play these games, they're wishlisted.
I used sorting to find back momodara, tho i can't remember the other games i wanted to buy. It looked like resident evil. Didn'T wishlist it and even if i did, would still be a mess to find back.
It's not luxury to have a cart that's memory lasts longer.

When you want to use a hammer to drive in screws, don't complain about how bad it works...
About cookies: proof that a cart that lasts longer isn't luxury: Cookies have an expiration date, postpone the date. Magic.
@Washell you're not useful. LEave if you won't help.
I didn'T come here to be moralized by a troll. So vanish.
