Setting Steam to high performance?
So there's a way to choose particular games from your files, in steam, and set steam to high performance. Does anyone remember how to do this?

No, there isn't. Never was. Because it doesn't make any sense as Steam has no effect on the game performance.

There's a low performance mode, and I could swear to ding-dang-doughnuts there was a high performance option. It must have been a hallucination because I searched for it and now believe it can't be done (almost).

Low performance mode is for the Steam UI. Not games. Game performance is managed within the game itself.

You can make games use the performance GPU if you have more than one, but that's never been within Steam's reach.

you can reduce GPU rendering in web page and such, but again require you actual have it open while play a game, and so many other option, this is same as other task running then its not need and yes can take so many resources away from pc, but HIGH- END PC dont care about they have plenty of power, past gen or even older can stuggle with have other task and things take more resource then needed.

this is same as set OS to highest performance and not let system waste resources on other task.
many hardcore gamers thats dont have best pc anymore fiddle with such option, untill they can buy better pc. ( plenty of guides with such , but every game and depend what optimize system you can live with. ) typical pc that can barely run game on recommend or minium get alot more out of such tweaks.
