Just make sure you actually cancel it. I have seen users complain they forgot to do so or thought they cancelled it but didn’t.
I've not done this on STEAM, but I've done this on other Services before... Sorta...
So, the idea is to Cancel the Subscription at the End of the Month...
If you Cancel too early, you may loose the Remainder of your Subscription for that Month...
It should Cancel right when you hit Cancel... So since Auto-Renew has been getting Complaints...
My Suggestion is to Cancel in the last Week of the Month? Somewhere in those 7 Days,
that feels Comfortable to you...
Don't Cancel the last Day, don't Cancel the 1st of the following Month, don't forget to Cancel,
double check, & make sure you've Canceled...
You should be fine... The Auto-Renewal of Subscriptions are a pain to deal with,
because even when you Cancel, you aren't really sure that you've Canceled, due
to how Auto-Renewal of Subscriptions are handled... They really need to be handled better...
And I agree. Could've been handled better, a little stop auto-renewal button would've been nice.
