It also suggests you don't have a clue what you're doing or what the API key is. The site is basically baiting to scam you. Thankfully it doesn't look like you have anything to lose.
If I asked for your front door keys would you hand them to me?
Legit sites don't need your API key.
At least that protected you from getting scammed.
And just because a youtuber is using a website doesn't make it any more legit. A youtuber is just a normal person that can be lying, maybe owning said website, or paid by said website to advertise it.
1. Don't login from 3rd party sites, as do not enter your info period. Most often they're a phisihing site that tricks you into logging into fake page, to steal your info.
2. Do not put any API key if you have no idea what they are, and top of that YOU DO NOT NEED API KEY FOR TRADING PERIOD! Scam bots put API keys on your account when you login to a phishing site like a dummy giving them your login info so when you trade it will cancel your trade, then set up a new trade with a one of the other bot accounts that may have been hijacked, which they change the display name, and picture to match with whom you're trading with, to trick you into giving all your items to that person.
3. Research things before you act if you have no idea what you're doing, asking questions on the community forums will give you answers that can give you advices, and information.
If any site asks for your API key, they are essentially asking for a tool that allows them to control trades on your account. You already have a very dodgy site in your name and it wouldn't surprised me if you were shadow-hijacked already. The fact that the site you are talking about blatantly asked for your API key access suggests they are amateur or you are very compliant.
Avoid such sites.
Websites that ask for your API key are not legitimate; this gives them way too much access to your account.
YouTubers are often paid to advertise dodgy products without reviewing them, including a game key store whose name is censored here due to fraud and theft.
