how can I use a beta

I've been playing cuphead and am trying to use cuphead legacy, I went into the betas tab, selected legacy, pressed close, and launched, this isn't working. is there a way to force a beta through launch options or something else? thanks.

Just tried it myself. As soon as you switch to a beta branch for that game it should automatically provide access to it. The game files will need to be updated which the Steam client should do automatically. Then when you press Play it should launch the beta version of that game.
