Steam Refund Problem after 8 weeks ! ! ! PLZ HELP !
Hey guys! I bought Assassin's Creed Odyssey on May 3. After seeing that i can't play this game well because of my computer i made a refund request. On May 4 Steam accepted refund. It's been 8 weeks since this refund accepted and still no refund. I talked with my bank and made a 'spending objection' to see if my bank teliing the truth. Today they answered my 'spending objection' and they say they found is no such a thing like a refund.

Let's put that aside for now. I bought another game (Little Nightmares) on May 16. After i dont like it too much i've decided to refund this too. Send to Steam a refund request > They Accepted but unlike Assassin's Creed Odyssey, on 27 May my refund completed and I got my money back.

Now let's go back to the main subject. I send a help request to Steam Support they gave me some informations about my Assassin's Creed Odyssey purchase > i made a 'spending objection' to my bank with this informations > They have found nothing. And i am here now.

Steam is saying "We did the refund." My bank is saying "There is no refund." I bought more expensive things (not on steam and not games) than Assassin's Creed Odysses that i refund later. Other internet sites and my bank refuınd everything except this one. I saw couple of things like that. someone is buying bannerlord which is expensive too > refund > and there is no refund blah blah blah...

What should i do? I really need my money back.

It is possible if you refunded it within a certain period of time the money was never with drawn. Are you sure the money for Assassin's Creed Odyssey ever left your bank account. In that case there wouldn't be a transaction to refund. Although I'd have expected Steam support mention that detail if that was the case, but I don't know exactly what's visible to them.
If you asked for a refund less than 24 hours later and it's granted, then the transaction is cancelled.

Simply put, you won't see the refund because you weren't charged.

Nope the money was withdrawn from my account. and and still hasn't come back.
i can see exactly what is missing. I am not stupid that to call the bank, mail to steam and make a 'spending objection' without looking at anything.
and yeah in addition, 24 hours have passed.

No you're not stupid. But some times people make assumptions, miss details, or don't really understand the system they're dealing with. So it's important to cross out all those things, even if it's just an exercise where the person confirms they've done them.

you see money missing from your account, but do you see a Steam Purchase for Assassins Creed on your bank’s website?

Is that what you mean when you say you “see what’s missing”?

Or are you saying you see your account is short money that you believe is because of Assassins Creed?

i believe you do not see a +added money to your account credit from Steam to your bank account. But do you see a -negative amount of money that specifically says it went to Steam?

Like if you look back on May 3rd on your online bank website, do you see a purchase still for Assassins Creed? If you ask your bank if they see a purchase to Steam on May 3rd for the amount of the game?

Don’t ask if they see a Refund. Ask if your bank sees the purchase deduction at all.
Yes. 88.77 withdrawn from my account. When i look the details this money goes to steam directly. But i will call them again right now and ask if steam take the money or not. Maybe like you said my bank holds the money to send steam. Let's try again.
88.77 withdrawn from my account to steam. Approved. My bank and i have provision code,reconciliation code etc. I've talked with a man in detail. and so Steam took the money from my account. My bank is not holding the money. Money send to the Steam at May 3, 7a.m. I shared my account activities, provision code, reconciliation code with a new help request.

BTW : When i bought Little Nightmares, 13.87 TL withdrawn from my account. When i refund and take my money back, they refund just 11.88 TL. This is not a big deal actually. Maybe just because of exchange rate differences. But seems interesting.

Anyway i still have a problem with steam about AC: ODYSSEY refund. Saying again : My bank isn't holding the money. Money we are talking about wasted. Money withdrawn from my bank.
I believe this problem happened because of time difference between Europe and Turkey. Because many Turks could not get their money back. (At least that's what I see).

What i found on my bank and on my steam acc;
03/05/2020-08:22:54 AM This is when purchase completed according to my bank and it is true.
4 May @ 11:42 AM and this is what steam says. "Returned"

E-mails;
5/3/2020 6:17 PM this is an e-mail from steam says "Your refund request has been received."
5/4/2020 11:42 AM and this says "Your purchase has been returned by Steam."

Steam thinks that my bank is holding the money idk why exactly. I am sure my bank is not holding the money. System doesn't work that way. When you buy something, our banks immediately send the money to seller (in this situation Steam). That's why i have provision code and reconciliation code in my bank. This 2 code proves everything.

"If they would fail, we would have thousands of complains by now." Yeah you are right. But isn't there a problem that you experience with a popular brand?

You got any basis for that claim?

First one is much easier to read, but Wikipedia's more detailed if this is what gets your motor running.
yok bu anlamıyor salak bunlar amk. harbi öküz ve salaklar. bir tane türk yok mu yardım edecek? Tell me that programmer. My money is in the Turkey's oldest bank or in steam?
I've thought of every possible you said or you did not said yet. In general, it takes maximum 14 days to take your money back.

This is a site where you can write about your complains. They have exactly same problem. Although it has been a long time, there are many Turkish people who could not get their money back. Like me they didn't get their money back. Only cheap returns are taking place, like Little Nightmares.
Normally, when you send a message to Steam support, they come back during the day. Although it has been 2 days i guess, I send them my account activities, provision code and reconciliation code as a image and text, they are not responding yet.

I will inform you when they reply. :praisesun:
