If you are not physically in Argentina you are not allowed to change the store to that country.
Steam can indeed terminate your entire account for that. Its fraud, plain and simple.

There is a reason for regional pricing, people in Argentine have a much lower average income.
Steam prices are adjusted to reflect the local economy.

Well what about the people that changed it? Is there a reason for not getting banned?
That will cause Valve to lock the account from further purchases, trading, gifting and other fun stuff.

Most likely because they have not been caught yet. That does not mean what they do is ok.
Its still against the Steam TOS and they are still in danger to lose their account at any moment if Steam gets wind of what they do.

Also, after making this thread here for everyone to see, you can be sure Steam will have an eye on your account if it should suddenly jump region stores.

When you publicly post about wanting to violate the Steam Subscriber Agreement to purchase games at a cheaper price, it can be far easier for Valve to see intention to break the rules.

I already reported and archived it.

You already accepted TOS (or SSA, I forget) which rule that you may not manipulate region feature.
So the answer is, you can get banned.

And seeing #6, #7, #8, I am interested to see what will happen to your account (evil laugh)

I am speechless ogami, on one hand you advise people not to change the store country to argentina and then other hand you done it yourself..
There is literally no redeeming yourself here, but i am watching as i am curious how long it takes for either support or valve to find out that you are buying from the argentinian store.

it would be good research, perhaps you might even go under their radar.
What do you mean?
You only change your store country when you're moving to that country to live in, as a long term residential with an address. If you're not doing that, then do not change store country that you're not living in at all.

If trying to region hop to get game cheaper, you're asking for a lot of trouble, and if you do it, and support caches you doing so, this can results in your account getting locked, or even terminated.

If they're moving to those countries which is self explain, that they're moving their home to that country, which they got their citizenship to be a residential in that country. They won't get banned because that where they're living at, not visiting. If you're trying to region hop that you're not living in, then don't act shock if supports lock, or terminated your account.

Did Ogami do that?

You're gonna get... wrecked.... ehehegheghhgh.....
how about you ask ogami about it? he seems awfully silent everytime i mention it.

maybe his silence is an indication of something? also just look at the threads where this comes up in, how he in details knows how to do it.
(obviously it takes no genius to do it but the way he writes about it and the fact that he switches between the german store and argentinian store, while you guys can't see it, you will have to take my word on it that it is happening.)

but without actually knowing much about either of you, i will do this to indicate i do know.
@Muppet among Puppets, Ich wohne ihr copenhagen, aber ich sprechen ein bisschen deutsche.
@Dr.Shadowds, is justin trudeau from ontario ?

also maybe lay off omar, he doesn't seem to have changed his store region, unlike ogami.

Not being caught yet doesn't equal never being caught... and when you are caught you're not going to be able to talk your way out of it.

Off topic, but yes Ottawa is within Ontario, on the edge next to Quebec.

I look into Ogami and see what you meant.

After looking into region changing wasn't sure if they had made any changes, as I thought I nothing was changed, or I thought I did.
