Do we get steam points for purchasing gifts for friends?
I wanted to purchase a game bundle as a gift for someone and was curious if I would get points for it. Or do we get points only for games we buy for ourselves?

You get points for every purchase in the store. It doesn't matter if it's for yourself or a gift.

If you buy a gift for a friend it is you who is spending money in the store,

- you get the points
- they get the game

Only the one that actually paid the money will receive the points.
