I'm also on W7 and impossible to get free animated stickers or other thing on this summer operation.
:(
shame on you steam!
I just tried to get my free animated sticker on the steam with firefow web browser and i got it.
That's better than nothing ^^
So yeah, as far as i know there wasnt any update to Steam for me this morning... so someone changed something their end.
So the fact this morning it works on my Win7 machine kinda sticks a wrench in your idea... also, if the 'oh they dropped support' idea was actually true then WHY didnt Steam/Valve a multi million dollar company not you know... tell all of us Win7 clients (and theres still a metric F ton of us), that their inclient web browser (which i might add their front store is a part of and runs using, which i might add works and has worked fine and dandy on Win7) no longer supports Win7?
The people who keep saying 'oh you'll just have to change OS' are/were either trolling or not really thinking things through.
Thanks for fixing it Steam, (for me at least)... took longer than it should have in my opinion, but many thanks any way.
One thing i noticed is I have different avatars if I use firefox browser, rather than the steam client browser.
Give the point store a go now, mine is working as of 15 minutes, so it should work for everyone really (or at least Win7 users)
Also its interesting but the Store Point page is now running ALOT smoother on my machine where as before that one single page would chug like a dog really badly...
