Card charged, no game delivered
So I was one of the people who got charged for a game, but the game was not delivered to the library. I was following a few others who had their tickets solved within an hour and mine is going on 6... is there a simple solution to this? Credit card company says the transactions was successful and can't cancel or contest it for a few days.

It doesn't appear there at all. That's the problem. Steam doesn't think I bought, but I got the charge on my credit card instantly.

Then there was a problem between your bank and steam communicating. This is not necessarily Steam's fault OR your Bank's fault.

You will just have to wait until your bank releases your funds so you can try purchasing again. Hope you sleep good! The sale will be still going on tomorrow, so you can get your game hopefully then. :8bitheart:

Same here, paypal took my money and sent it but games say pending in transaction history. Nothing in inventory :( will update too.

15 hours no response from support. Ridiculous. They need to shut the damned thing down if it can't take orders properly. The funny thing is that it won't let me re-order it with the same card because it does say there's a pending transaction. The bank says it isn't on their end and Steam support is unresponsive.

The Bank will say it's not on their end.
Steam Support will say it's not on their end.

Both are telling a 'half truth'. The problem is between the communication between Steam and your Bank. This is not necessarily "anyone's fault", anymore than if you call your Mother on the cellphone and the connection has "static" so she can't hear you good.. and you have a miscommunication.

It's not necessarily your mom's fault OR your fault. But the fault of your communication method.

Be patient, there is like literally NOTHING Steam can do OR your Bank. Just like there is NOTHING you can do if there's static on a phone call. Sometimes there's not even something your phone company can do.. because the problem is a thunderstorm in Denver!

Computers hiccup when communicating sometimes... This is not necessarily anyones "fault".

Eventually your Bank will release the funds (when they realise Valve really can't get paid), and the money will go back to you. Then you will be able to make the purchase again.

On a rarer occasion sometimes suddenly the "static" between the Bank and Steam will "go away" and fix itself ... and your Bank will be able to give the money to Valve, in which case your transaction on Steam will complete and you'll have the game you bought.

Right now your money is in "limbo"... meaning your Bank tried to send it to Valve.. but Valve did NOT receive it. That's why your account shows the money missing... but you also don't have your game.

Again this computer-miscommunication is not necessarily your Bank's fault OR Valve's fault.

so my transaction attempt was cut off halfway through filling in the credit card details cause my pc decided to have a blue screen at the most inconvenient time imaginable

now the purchase says "Pending" as if the purchase went through

does this mean that steam will eventually cancel the purchase so i can attempt to re-buy what i wanted when it eventually gets canceled or does this mean that the transaction actually did go through "somehow" and i will eventually get said games when the processing of the transaction finalizes?

Update: so there has been a change in the last hour that is encouraging: the purchase finally appeared in my history as "pending" which it did not a few hours ago. My impression based on what I've seen from other people who have had it "pending" is that it will resolve itself eventually. This has been frustrating though, I wish Steam had been more responsive. While I understand that it may not have been their fault, the fact that they still have not responded, even with a boiler-plate "we have seen this, just wait" message is just poor customer service.

Did you finally get the game? Right now i have the EXACT same problem as you , i was using MasterCard , it took my money from my bank acc but i cant even the the game in my history if transactions.I texted steam supportand im waiting for a response. What do i do now.
