SSD Slow Preallocating
I have a Samsung evo 850 500 GB and when it comes to preallocating it takes so long it's like having a old HHD. Only thing on this drive is steam and games. Is they anyway to speed this up? or am i doing something wrong?

Generally some software interfering with Steam.

Check what programs are running on your computer that even remotely could interfer with Steam. Shut them down, then try a download. If it works fast, then start one or two programs and try again until the allocation is slow again.
