Steam Wrongly-Blur Every Anime Image

The new AI NSFW image detection function is nearly completely broken

every anime image my friends and I uploaded are 95-100% guaranteed to be blurred
( They have No nudity, no gore, no violence, etc )

why censored these images? (they are ALL blurred by AI with 100% error rate)

I have to find the support staff every time I upload a single image
though they are good and do help you unblur it, it is extremely annoying
the AI error rate is > 95% percent, which means every time I upload an image,
I have to submit a ticket. Most of my anime friends are facing the same problem :(

Steam doesn't blur your pictures...

Do you mean your pictures getting flag, and set to view only by you, or getting deleted?

Please share an example.

you probably have unchecked the option in the setting
" Blur and warn about content that may contain frequent violence or gore
Blur and warn about content that may contain frequent nudity or sexual content "
so you can't see the blur effect.
but for people who have checked this option, they are all blurred.

open private browsing in your browser (don't login into your steam) , and head to here,
as you can see many of the pictures are blurred.

You're right the settings are off for me, and not sure when they done this, but I do see this being a problem for the AI flagging things wrongfully.

Make a ticket to support to get it/and others unblurred. Ask(nicely) why it is blurred add link to object/objects. Have gotten 3 screenshots unblurred by support and has more in waiting. The AI is misfire widly at the moment. And support want you to help them finetune the filter. At least that what they told me.

(Here in Sweden some hentai book seller or whatever was first centenced for distributing pedophilia material but thankfully a higher court freed him which I think is correct since there's no victim.)

They have a new automated system in place thats still learning what is and what isn't ok to blur. Send a nice message to steam support about it. It takes time for a system to learn, there is bound to be hiccups.
