PS4 Controller Stops Internet

Greetings everybody!
My issue with my PS4 controller is that whenever i connect to my laptop wirelessly, it completly disables my internet, however, only for my laptop, as my phone seems to connect to the internet just fine.
Also using it with the PS4 cable works just fine.
I have an old-ish router, but it never did this before, so i'm a bit lost.
I'm not quite sure what might cause this problem, so any info could be useful.

i reverted to an old driver version 10.0 for atheros qc9377 downgraded from version 12, forgot the device in settings. i also, pushed the reset button on the controller with a pen, so either of those two things fixed it not sure which one. i also noticed if i was near my other computer the wifi woud cut out when i brought it close. so it might be interfering with the wifi signals. but the reset of the controller helped. the atheros qc9377 has wlan/bt in the same card, so i think that might be part of the issue for me atleast. its like the network card was trying to use my ps4 controller as an internet source. also fairly sure you need to have bluetooth version 4 or higher to use bluetooth with ps4 controller, my older laptop doesnt recognize it as a controller. although it does connect, it just doesnt do anything.
