Link Removed

Why my link got removed? Is there anything I can do about it?

If an individual link was removed then it is known to Valve as being malicious or flagged as a potential risk.

There's a new spam filter getting deployed, taking it's first learning steps. URL spam is rampant. I suggest joining an existing thread with mods actively participating. They take suggestions and issue reports. If your URL was legit, this was an error indeed.

URLs getting falsely flagged as spam ain't exactly news.

I quoted a post with a link in it and got "Link Removed" in my quote. If the link was known to be bad they would have removed it from the original post. There must be some other rule that I stumbled into, but I can't figure out what it is.

... or something went wrong while removing/editing. That kind of stuff happens every now and then.

The quote formatting directly next to the link probably confused the filter.
