Local Disk (C) - Shotcut in my (D:) Drive

Today I checked my (D:) drive which is mainly for movie and game files and found that there is one shotcut to disk C . Is it normal that this shotcut is automatically generated in my Disk D or Virus ?

It's probably just a shortcut that you created accidentally, without realising.

There is no reason why a virus would do this.

When I entered this shortcut , it just send me to drive C . Hmm may be I am worrying too much . Thanks

That is not normal, I suggest to do full scan with an up-to-date antivirus.

Well I also do not know, but in my country that is the fact. Malware infested flashdrive often contains shortcut which is not created by user.

I don’t any antivirus programs , just window defender . Is it ok ?

Yeah, it's fine. But if you want, you could also download the free version of MalwareBytes and run a scan using that. I use it along with Window Defender.

Thanks ! I will full scan with window defender first . And will take a look the one u showed me . Like u said before , it’s also possible that this shortcut could be created by myself without even noticed . But just to be sure ! Thank you all for helping me .
