Bait, story, steps
A random person added me as a friend and explained me that he accidentally reported (how the hell do you “Accidentally” report someone!?) me that Im doing illegal purchases and sent me another steam profile to add as a friend, he claimed that this one profile is a Steam community moderator who will clear this issue and will lift the "pending ban" over my profile. I was a bit suspicious but still, I sent a fr invite to that one profile and he accepted almost immediately, like he was sitting and waiting for my request :)
BTW this user has set his profile to look 1:1 like the real Steam moderator
The Scammer: https://steamcommunity.com/id/asnterr
The real Steam moderator: https://steamcommunity.com/id/anster
anyway, he told me that I have a pending ban because I'm involved into illegal purchases which I did not, because in fact I haven't purchased anything from steam since years and he pretended he's a steam moderator. A bit later he asked me do I have discord and we continued the conversation there, he told me to log off of steam and to send him the personal code I will receive in my email! by which he'll verify that I am the owner of this (my) account... 😅
I have saved all proofs about our conversation!
