Can't change my password using the steam mobile app
I have authenticator enabled and can't even change my password using the app because I have to leave the request section to open the confirmation. (you can no longer continue to change your password once you leave the request section to confirm it)

[EDIT] Am I the only one having this issue? Please help!

Exact same issue still in 2023. With security such a big focus supposedly, why the hell would Valve make it impossible to change your password directly through the app, and let this flaw exist for a good 5 years?

Same exact issue. Can't open steam in a web browser on phone, it opens the app. Can't confirm the request in app to change password, as it resets when you leave to go to the confirmation screen.

Apparently impossible to change your password from your phone/the mobile app. How was this overlooked?

legit mad, my account is in serious risk and steam be like "oh just confirm it on the app while you use the app itself lol". Garbage.

Just came across this and after the buggy mess of the Deck's software and the Mobile App I'm just so done with Valve's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ attitude to regular software development. I love their games but their regular software is usually trash and they willfully ignore tons of issues for years. It took Steam a long time to get into a decent state and even now it's riddled with minor issues that have been around for for way too long.

It's probably because of their flat structure though, since nobody at a game (lmao) company has the motivation to fix boring defects on boring software.

Yep, still happening in 2024. Thanks, Valve!
