I can only assume the possibilities that could go wrong, either items lost, or having account hijacked by logging into phising site, or giving your login details to someone that you shouldn't have.
Just giving you heads on the policy here for trading.

No 3rd party site work for Steam / Vavle, that's a fact, those 3rd party sites can change their mind at time they want, and turn their page into phishing site. Just because something didn't happen, doesn't mean it won't happen, and often enough if you been around long enough on the forums for couple years, we seen people swear up, and down saying it's a trusted site, because nothing happen yet to them, or because some youtuber told them to use it because it's safe they claim, but then days, weeks, or months later you see some of them run to the forum complaining about their items being stolen when trading by API that suddenly got added to their account by those phishing 3rd party sites, or their account hijacked. That's how something can go wrong. People assume they see login page, they just put in login detail, then bam you lost items, or account just like that, because you trusted those 3rd party sites. Can't sue them because they may have just used fake info, like name, and address, so trying to sue a non exisiting person, and this isn't the 1st time some of these 3rd party sites just up, and ran off either.
So take advice, beware what you're getting into.
Also we heard this hundreds times, "I know what I'm getting into, I'm not dumb, or I'm not a fool" then later time, we may see same people that say these things, "insert Guess Who's Back theme with sad tone" asking for help with lost items, or lost account. This was so common back in 2011, when Steam guard was added to Steam, people would disable their Steam guard, and shortlly lose all their items, and even the account, which then came trade, and market holds. You're not the 1st, nor even the last person.
But if you successfully trade with them and they say there is some kind of hold, that's something they are doing, not Steam. If a trade is being held, it will still show in your trade history as being held. The only known trade hold outside that is that CS:GO game items have a 7 day trade cooldown where you can't trade something you just acquired in a trade with someone else.
