Why do I always have SEVEN "Steam Client Webhelper" Processes?
I don't even have a browser open, I open task manager, and I can keep ending and deleting the processes, but they come back nearly instantly.

What do they do and why are they popping back up despite me not playing a game, using its browser, or using any browser? There's no internet activity when I end them and they're coming back.

???

Your cpu has a few cores like intel 6 cores or 8 cores and the Steam web helper is spread out over all your cores.
Steam web helper is the boot loader and its necessary to run Steam.
Its needed dont worry about it.

Damn. I thought it was an internet web helper, and I wasn't using a browser so was confusing why they kept coming back.

Steam needs them to run, don't close them.
Steam is a memory hog

hello
it's better to let them than to try to terminate them ,)
they are part of the client so let steam running correctly as it need

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
