steam keeps changing its language to Russian whenever I use steam overlay ingame

I'm not sure if its Russian but it looks like this: Každý je pozvaný! Steam diskuze jsou pro všechny, jak pro nové

I searched it up and it looks like I'm not the only one who has this issue. I didn't have this problem before I think it started after the second latest update. Does anyone know how to fix this???

That's not Russian. I think that's Slovak. Which region are you in, and is your Steam store set to the right country?

OOO ok I didn't know that haha. I double checked the region and it is set to the right country (which is Canada)

You might want to reinstall Steam. Move your SteamApps folder first so you don't need to download your games again.

I found a topic that describes that as a possible fix.

Did you install anything recently? Sometimes it could mess with your Steam in that way.

Bit late but I've been having this problem for a while.

Found out it was the language setting of the website and not the steam client itself... On the top of the web page you are currently looking at you will see a little drop down next to your username.

Click that and choose the second option from the bottom to choose your language.
