They found the FIX i think but i dont understand what they did

Hi all i have started playing the splinter cell games again (5 in a set on dvds) got them again but these are drm free.

splinter cell 2 pandora tomorrow(scpt) has an error when the in game videos are played it is-

I have found a web forum with a fix i think.
Steam dose not sell scpt so didnt look to hard here for a fix.

But i dont understand what the fix is an how to do it
PLEASE could some one explain in very simple terms what they did

reading the discussion through makes no sence to me.
after reading the discussion through again to the green box were the answer pops up half way down ish the page.
i dont understand what the op did with the files to make them work or not crash.

Basicly its over my head im a cut an paste kind of fixer.

Scrape k-lite codecs immediately! [1] [2]

They have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so many friends' computers.. They are nonsense compilations of cracked, higgledy-piggledy pointless codecs...

Just use VLC if you are lazy, or install LAV filters & MPC if you want a more professional feel



No wonder your biks have issues.. Trust me, uninstall it and reset directshow configuration

He uninstalled K-lite codec pack. If you don't have the K-lite codec pack installed, than the post won't help you. He also mentions alternative video/media players, but that's not part of the fix.

Looks like my Sherlock Holmes 4hour stint on the net wasn't successful then.

wow old thread or what ha ha.
Sorry mate i cant remember but what the comment says above about K-lite its an awesome sound an video codec pack, just google K lite download. then pick the normal option i think there is 3 - basic middle and top packages to download. install run the tweaks and fixes and try again.
i always use that now because after a big win update it writes over sound files (dont know why) but sometimes it does. also it helps with films on dvd an blu ray.
hope you get it sorted mate but i dont know what else to suggest

nevermind, now I download other 100% save file and go to 5th mission, it can run properly
