Charter Communications T&C pushed on Steam
I just logged in for the first time today, and on the news pop-up page I was shown the Charter Communications T&C, along with the billing name and my address. I tried confirming it in the news pop-up, which did nothing. I ignored it, then hopped on a game of PUBG. After the match, (3 kills early, early death), the Charter T&C was displayed IN THE GAME ON THE MENU PAGE.

what is this? why is it happening? I haven't found much info on google for it...

Your ISP has done a DNS hijack and presented you with their T&C. Basically you make a request to steam and ask the DNS server what the address is. The dns server says "steam?
hahah i dont think so here's our T&C website instead. Get back to work!".

This is why I never use my ISP DNS. Change it to Google DNS or OpenDNS.

Thanks for the reply. I posted here because I was unaware that an isp could push that through software, let alone into a game.

I am using Google dns currently, and when the issue happened. I will post back if it happens again.

The same exact thing just happened to me 20 minutes ago. I could not find anything on Google about this. I too am using Google's DNS.

I ended up removing the google DNS, and waited for it to finally be pushed onto my browser. It took some time, and a few steam restarts, but it popped up inevitably.
