For any one in the future searching for a solution to play DS3 with Dualsense:
Buy and run DSX on Steam -> Emulate Xbox 360 Controller.
Right Click on DS3 -> Properties -> Controller -> Disable Steam Input
Install a mod to change the ingame controller icons for Dualsense (I used this one https://www.nexusmods.com/darksoulsremastered/mods/334).
I'm playing online with the mod and there's no problem, don't worry. Also the achievements do not disable, don't worry with it too.
Pt-Br:
Botão direito do mouse no DS3 -> Propriedades -> Controle -> Desativar a Entrada Steam
Experiencing double inputs on your D-pad across multiple controllers and games can be frustrating, but it's likely not a Windows reinstall issue.
Check for Physical Damage:
Inspect your controllers for any physical damage, especially around the D-pad area. If you notice any visible damage, it might be the cause of the issue.
Update Controller Firmware/Drivers:
Make sure your controllers have the latest firmware or drivers installed. Check the manufacturer's website for updates and follow their instructions for updating the controller's firmware or drivers.
Calibrate Your Controllers:
In Windows, you can calibrate your controllers to ensure they are functioning correctly. Here's how:
Press the Windows key and search for "Set up USB game controllers."
Select your controller and click on "Properties."
Go to the "Settings" tab and click on "Calibrate."
Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your controller.
Steam Big Picture Mode Settings:
If you're using Steam Big Picture Mode, there may be controller configuration settings that are causing the issue. Make sure your controller settings in Steam are configured correctly. You can also try disabling or reconfiguring the controller support in Steam.
Check for Software Conflicts:
Sometimes, background applications or software can interfere with controller inputs. Try closing any unnecessary applications running in the background, especially those that might have controller support or input management features.
USB Ports and Cables:
Ensure that you're using good-quality USB cables and that your controllers are connected to reliable USB ports on your computer. Unstable connections can lead to input problems.
Test on Another System:
To rule out any issues with your specific computer, try connecting your controllers to a different computer and see if the problem persists. This will help determine if the issue is hardware-related.
Contact Support:
If you've tried all the steps above and are still experiencing the issue, reach out to the manufacturer's support for your controllers or the game developer's support for assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or solutions tailored to your situation.
Reinstalling Windows should be a last resort, as it's a time-consuming and disruptive process. It's more likely that the issue is related to hardware, drivers, or software configuration, and one of the steps above should help you resolve it without the need for a complete OS reinstall.
If the game has native controller support, go to Steam Library > GameName > Properties and disable Steam Input. Then launch the game and re-test for problems.
Thanks for the input.
