Is it possible to move my games/apps on Steam from a PC to another?
I'm thinking of buying a new PC next month, which means I'll have to download everything I own here on my account again; and I don't want to do that since it'll take a long time and consumes a lot from my internet package (since it's limited to 200 GB per month).

So I was wondering, is it possible to move my games from this PC to the one I will get? Like connecting both devices and copying the game files to their new directory?

Also I'm wondering whether using the same account on both PCs would cause and problems such as sync problems and so.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, on the new PC make sure Steam isn't running then copy the entire /steamapps/ folder from the old to the new.

Start Steam and they should show as installed.

Is it that simple? And it will work with no problems such as those related to cloud/sync?

It is that easy, missing registry entries will be made by Steam automatically.
My current Steam installation orginated back on Windows XP.

Note that all games will want to run the first time setup after this and yes, it’s pretty simple.

I do suggest verifying each game before trying to run them. Some will need to download machine specific files.

so basically what i'll have to do is simply download steam, move the entire /steamapps/ folder to my new pc, then verify each game/app before launching it?

if you want any local save games from the old pc to the next pc you need to copy a specific folder aswell, hold on and let me look for it

EDIT: if im correct you need to copy this folder aswell to your new pc, asuming you have steam installed on C: drive

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata
the Userdate folder, wich contains all the steam profiles and local savegames if im correct although some games saves there gamesaves in ''my documents''
