Desktop Icons for games keep bugging out.

Hello, I have a consistent and recurring problem with many of my desktop game icons just breaking and turning into, like some sort of default, blank piece of paper shortcut placekeeper. The shortcuts still work and launch their respective games. In the past, I have used the program SteamMover to move games between my SSD and my HDD. I suspect that there is some sort of annoying bug with the icons not keeping up with the new location of the icon file, but I have all but entirely switched to SSD's, and haven't used SteamMover in a long time. I still find broken icons on my desktop from time to time. I think they look bad, and the blank icons just confuse me, so I have just forgone desktop icons for the time being. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, have you found a definitive cause or solution?

Moving executables files breaks their shortcuts because shortcuts are linked to the previous location of the exe file.

I'd suggest you to delete the shortcut in itself; then you should create it back by right clicking on the specified game and selecting "Create a shortcut on the desktop".
