Pre Ordered games on showcase

Hi there. I recently pre ordered Cyberpunk 2077, but I do not see any option to add the game to my profile showcase. Is this the case with all pre ordered games?

Probably? Because why would there be a spot for it if it has yet to even be 'early' access?

Yes, because you don’t own them until they are released. Steam’s refund rules allow you to get a refund at any time until then, so the purchase only becomes final the moment that it’s released.

Sorry but that is wrong.
I just added " Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2" to my favorite games showcase.
Worked without a problem.

Also I did notice the game shows up on my library, but when I went to see to the games section of my profile, cyberpunk isn't there.

Yeah thats not normal. My preorder of Bloodlines 2 shows up in my games list and that game does not even has a official release date yet and most likely wont come out before 2021.

Wait, i have like 2-3 other preordered games, i look if they show up.
Cant check for Cyberpunk sadly, i refunded it after they changed the release day in February.

Edit: Yeah, they all show up in my games list and i can select them for my showcases.

I am getting a few conflicting answers on this. I will probably keep my pre order and see if this fixes in September. Thanks for the help!

On your profile, the game does appear on the showcase. But I searched Cyberpunk 2077 under your games list, but it did not show up either.

I've pre-ordered hundreds of games. It is not normal behaviour to be able to add a game to a showcase before its official release.

In my decade here on Steam I've not seen one game that was addable to a showcase before its release and I've tried it many times.

yeah if you follow the guide i linked, you can add it to the show case.

its not gonna show up on the list cuz its a preorder.
ii will only show in library for now until its released
