STEAM is causing CLASS NOT REGISTERED errors.
I will NEVER buy anything from steam ever again. just bought an awesome gaming laptop. but when i installed steam everything went nuts. windows button on the screen wont work. windows key on the keyboard wont work. every icon on the taskbar says "class not registered" when clicked on. went into startup menu and disabled steam from starting on startup. guess what steam decided it was starting on start up anyway. it took steam a few seconds to start up but it still did so. but before it would start up i would check for the class not registered error. nope not there no problem, but as soon as steam came up (even after i disabled it from the startup) the error came back. class not registered. All of this is bad enough but the complete lack of being able to contact anyone at support was the final straw. sure you can go to the FAQs but good luck finding anything related to your problem unless its one of a few dozen problems they have decided to admit to. even here on facebook there's no way to send them a message. no phone support, no chat options just the FAQs which amounts to as much help as a huge middle finger. and why not they already have your money. they are lucky it didn't damage my computer due to not being able to get to my fan settings to turn them up because higher temps while gaming.

What the full system specs of this "gaming laptop" you said you got?

Clearly something going on, or that your anti virus went full re**** mode that's my guess on this.

its still caused by steam otherwise uninstalling steam wouldnt have solved the problem.you can kiss valves you know what all you want but if they had real support things would be different.

so in other words, you not even trying to solve your problem but blame valve and their support. no problem not stopping you, just trying to help or suggest things you can try to solve your problem, as it is the first time i heard something like your problem

the first link would be relivant if i even had icloud on my pc oh hey the second link is about the same problem caused by icloud at least the 3rd link isnt blaming it on a program not even on my pc. doesnt matter anyway the problem only happens when steam is allowed to start up

its a brand new nitro 5 and the only things insta*t happens. the big prolblem is once steam has your $$ they dont want to talk to you. support is almost non existent.

steam is like that friend that only calls when they need something but wont answer the phone otherwise

one thing you must also consider, its lockdown in most country. secondly if you want to uninstall steam and not use it, no ones going to stop you. thirdly the steam forums is pretty much users like yourself. also did you submit your problem to valve? https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithSteamj.

the lockdown is a pretty bs point steam support has always sucked the big turd. no chat no phone nada. as far as submitting the problem to valve, good luck. sure they have a button for problems with the steam client but when you look at it if your problem is not one of the 8 listed problems you are sh*t out of luck
