with your Device running as the Client?
This has been messing me up almost every time I try Remote Play with the Phone I have...
Simple Human Error, haha...
--------------------------------------
Make sure the other Person also sets up Remote Play, just as you have...
----------------------------------------
To avoid Confusion, I usually setup the Host & Client for both Devices
to use the same exact setup...
Only Changes I make for each player, is that the Client User would
use a lower Resolution, like 720 or something, & I think the Sound
is not heard from the Host Machine...
I was trying to pair my computer and my friends computer.
I don't think I have remote play configured to my steam
I launched a multiplayer game and a non-multiplayer game and neither showed me the option to remote play in the steam overlay. How do I make remote play work for me and my friends?
The games I tried launching were War Thunder and Planet zoo. One is a multiplayer game and the other is not. Neither showed remote play in the steam overlay
What you paired, is game streaming. There's nothing to invite there. It's for running the game on a beefy home computer but play on a thin client. Not together, no invites.
absolutely fine!
If you want your friends to play a game with you via remote play together, you have to play a game that works with that. Everything with a local mode is a safe bet.
Sure, you can use remote play (not that "together" part) to get it running with local input. But that'd require you to set up remote play in the first place. And that surely isn't as easy as inviting someone from your list!
So let's get this straight, do you want to remote play with that remote-couch-local-play-over-the-inernet-from-invitiation-function or do you want the other one, which may take more effort to set up? What EXACTLY is your goal? Simply play something with your friend?
