Is it safe to install Steam games ona Data D drive
i recently ran out of storage on my c drive but then i thouht ive got a whole load of storage on my D drive so is it safe to make a download path to my D data drive:steamhappy:

It depends what your D drive is used for.
ive only ever used it for a few documents

You can install on ANY drive, you just need to create a library folder for it.

If the drive has adequate space then just select that as a download path upon your next game install. Steam will then create a new library folder.

In that case, it will be fine to use for games too.

thanks for the reply but persumbly My D DATA drive is alot slower than a C drive

why even ask? why would steam give you an option to change the Directory?

Because it can. I have Steamgames on two drives, an SSD and a HDD. Just needs the creation of a second Steam library folder on the second drive and you're good to go. You can even transfer installed games between library folders.
