Miles Sound System Crackles While Using Surround Sound

Every game that used Miles has this issue (some games I have tested that use Miles and has this issue: Portal, Portal 2, KOTOR).

The issue is that the game's audio is breaking up/crackling. Here is an example from Portal 2:

Does anyone have a fix? This basically makes every single game that uses Miles completely unplayable.
