i have hp pavilion gaming laptop. when charger is plugged in my laptop cpu temperature is 70 to 80 and fps is constant at 60 , its a 60hz laptop and v sync is on. but when i unplug the charger cpu temperature is 52 degrees and fps fluctuates from 50 to 60 which is a massive difference. Actually i wanted to have my laptop with same performance for 4 years thats why i wanted later settings to be applied when charger is plugged on so that i can use laptop for long.
note. all these temperature while playing apex legends
Q if i want to use laptop with same performance in gaming for so long , is my experiment ok to do so?
Q how is that at normal state cpu temp is 45 but while heavy gaming cpu temp is 54 when laptop is unplugged

Typically the performance mode while running on the battery is more conservative and uses less power which means a reduction in performance.

If you want the same performance as plugged in you have to make sure to set power mode for max performance. But battery life is going to take a big hit.

Even if you set it to max performance, it may still not reach the same level as when plugged in. If it would, it would be discharging the battery at a rate that would damage it or even make it catch fire.

High performance gaming on a laptop is a plugged in activity.

Yes, Wahsell is right. I've never personally tried it because it's a pretty bad idea. But seeing is believing. Because the power usage on the battery isn't going to increase linearly under full load and will rapidly drain the battery. Like under 45 minutes of full load use.

Knowing all this I really don't bother unless I'm plugged in.
