Reverting back my country of residence to it's origin
Hello, guys I have been using steam for over 12 years this is the first time this happening as I always travel from Algeria to Turkey. My local address is in Turkey all my purchase history are in Turkish Lira, I use Mobile and Virtual Card as payment, this option is not available for me as my country has changed to Algeria for some reason it always was Turkey for the past 12 years even thought I traveled multiple times. I am really stuck as the payment methods do not exist anymore for me.

This is so sad that, I want to buy games and enjoy during this Covid-19 confinement but they ain't letting me do it. I need help, you can't imagine how frustrating this is for me :steamsad::steamsad::steamsad:

To change Steam country store you have to:

1. Not changed the store in the last 14 days
2. Your last login has to be from the country you want to switch to.
So if you want to switch to Turkey again you need to log in from inside Turkey before trying to
switch.
3. Any purchase made on the account will also inflict a 48 hours store switch cooldown.

If you fulfill all that it should be no problem to switch your country in your account settings.

Please read the entire Steam Store Country - Billing - Knowledge Base article first.

Already at the first line it says "Your store region is set based on the location of your first Steam purchase" which was Turkey.
"While traveling, the Steam store will show your region's prices and you will be able to make purchases as you would from home." It doesn't show Mobile Payment and doesn't support my Virtual Card as option.
Again "You can update the store country each time you change locations as long as you use a payment method that matches your Steam country setting" all my payment are in Turkish Lira and still it doesn't let me set my country to Turkey.
I never purchased anything in this country (Algeria) so why am I stuck even thought I have money to buy games but I can't because of this country restriction.

I feel like I am gonna get cancer if I keep thinking about this is driving me insane this might even cause me to go mentally unstable. As if your 12 years old work would be destroyed in like a matter of second, while you are slowly watching it disappear.

My wallet currency was never changed during 12 years of my steam usage time till 22 february 2020 as I keep travelling from Algeria to Turkey multiple times. I have purchased many games from Algeria using my Turkish credentials so I don't think there is a Temporary Cooldowns. Do I need to fly back to Turkey everytime I want to buy a game ? Will my country setups change once again if I come back to Algeria ?

I am really seeking for a solution to this, as I am stuck with this Covid-19 epidemy, I just want to buy some games, play and relax but this issue has put more stress upon my shoulder.

You need to wait until the cooldown is over before you can change it back to your country of residence to make a purchase from that store.
