Problems Installing Bendy and the ink machine

So a while back when Bendy and the ink machine was still in development i downloaded chapter one before the complete edition was released and i'm using a new PC for the game and when i go to redownload it, it finishes in a few seconds and when i press play i get the error message "there was an error updating bendy and the ink machine (missing executable)"
C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/Bendy and the ink machine/Bendy and the ink machine.exe

after trying numerous methods from on the steam support page im still yet to get the .exe installed

could this be from the seperate chapters being added as one game? and do i need to re-buy the full release?

They removed the demo, sadly, it happened to me too

first time i downloaded the gamejolt too, but, i was wondering, why put a demo without files for a game?
