Steam Window keeps "shifting" slightly off center
I've been experiencing a weird glitch with the steam window for a while now. It has persisted over multiple re-installs and even continued happening on my new pc build. Basically, random times when in fullscreen, the steam window will "shift" very slightly up and to the left. This weird "shift" has no effect on interacting with any buttons/links themselves and is basically only cosmetic. The only way to get rid of it is to remove the window from fullscreen and then reengage it but it will inevitably happen again within a minute or two. This glitch is pretty hard to describe so here's a picture of it.

Here's a second picture zoomed in. You can see the very thin bars running along the bottom and right sides of the window that appear. It looks almost like there's a second window behind it the steam window.

I can't find anyone else who has this weird problem. It's very minor but very annoying and, like I said, I've reinstalled steam multiple times and the glitch even carried over to my new build.

Does the issue still happen if you have the address bar turned on?

Steam > Settings > Interface >>> Display URL address bar...

Very late to the party here- but I will say I am also having this issue. Unfortunately I can't find a fix, and it is very annoying.

Had this issue for a long time on my 3 monitor setup. It seems to happen whenever I click on anything in the steam client after keeping it maximized for a while

Not sure, have you tried turn off cpu accelrations first. its a in client steam settings.

other possibilities is way harder to explan, NO OC , but again i can use a app that calc cancer and use so many windows resource point that things glitch abit like lag of refresh or gpu releated task, call it best advice is reduce steam settings as much as possble in library bandwide releated options.

well lets hope its that, if not then i cant help you. ( old pc dust to clean fans has also been seen before effect some of this. but again you need to know how to clean , and avoid static issue in the pc. ) i think its a long tiem ago i have seen post with dust can also be part of the problem.

keep in mind with a pc on 365 days per year , and avarage person has 8 hour on only that still 3 years of dust. ( and now time and use can be seen as very dust pc ) but i have also seen pc with dust filter and they are still nice inside after several years.

I do actually still have the exact same issue.
Has been happenin for almost two years by now tbh...
I just upgraded to new hardware and a full clean windows install. Same issue. (instead of min/maxing, you can just pull the title bar to the upper monitor edge. Also fixes it for a few minutes lol)

Didn't wanted create new topic, because Valve need see this that which they didn't fix since 2 years,

its happening after you run any Fullscreen application (doesn't matter its from steam or not)
I didn't had this issue until I connect my secondary monitor, and still happening even if I disconnect my monitor, looking for solutions

Try fresh clean instal GPU Driver, this is still seen as your problem only , there are so many steam user that dont have this problem, that why i think steam dont have a issue more like its on your pc and somehow that error or choise have follow you to another pc.

Try safe boot mode, what if this is interference issue from other app, first i thougth look like to few free resource on pc , but that dont stick with 2 diffrent pc. ( so OC and other things same user do maybe, as i tried to explan i have only seen this they i get that same and its then i use 100% of cpu cycle and worst possible way to trigger it , and yet diffrence is i know what cause this.

To understand system resource require you know own pc and windows resource manager and what app is running and not, dont aspect steam support or casual user know this, you still need one person that has seen and know this or seen and dealt with it before and gl with found such person here.

ps.
then you use 100% cpu cycle then its a ghost and lack of refresh on screen, as i said require user have skill to ID and catch own problem that hes system is doing atm.

F5 system refresh remove this, and in my case a app that use all cpu cycle to cure cancer, thats how i knowwhat happen on my pc.

There are quite a few people who do have this problem though

At least now we know that it happens if you have multiple monitors connected, and after you run a fullscreen game. I say we just boycott any games that don't support borderless window

I do have three monitors, but I can confirm it happening also when playing borderless or windowed games.
GPU driver also cannot be the issue. I have upgraded my PC. New mainboard, CPU, cooler and RAM and did a completely fresh install of windows. My system SSD was wiped completely before. I had to reinstall everything including drivers, steam etc.

The problem is still happening although it seems to occur less than before. But that could just be my imagination since I don't have the system for that long for now :D

Thank you.
Also installed Steam on my laptop and it's happening there too, even with a single screen. Though I do have it plugged to 2 external screens quite often.
