Visual Cues For Deaf Gamers?

Hey there, trying to get my deaf friend into playing games like COD warzone. However, I know sound plays a major role in the game (footsteps, gunshots, etc)

Are there any legal programs he could use that would put a pop on his screen letting him know there are footsteps, gun shots and other things?

They might be interested in this, though I do not know how fully it 'recreates' sounds on screen. It is also something that people often forget they have installed and then come around asking why there's some 'weird stuff on screen' in games.
