How to add icon/logo to non-steam game?

Any idea on how to add icon/logo to non-steam game so our friend could see the icon/logo on their friend list when we play the game instead of showing "N/A"? Much appreciated.

The icons all work just fine with my Non Steam games, as for the logo artwork? rightclick it SET CUSTOM LOGO.

Thank you for your answer, appreciated. But actually I am trying to figure out how can my friend see the icon from their friend list when I launch the game. But based on other's comment looks like it's impossible currently.

Wrong, you actually can, and it's simple. Follow this guide and then add the new exe to steam. Tested and works fine.

Hmm what part of the thread did i not read? He wants to create an icon for a non steam game so his friends can see the icon instead of N/A. Works for me, I watched the video and followed the instructions.

That doesn't show up on the friends list, ie when you hover over someone and see what they're doing. Unless it's changed since March of last year then this isn't something that's been possible since adding non-Steam games was introduced.
